“The Up- Close & Classical Company" In a performance concept unique in New Zealand, Artistic Director Louise Hawke of Dance Nelson presents each year a Christmas Gala programme of Classical Ballet, showcasing young dancers from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch about to embark on professional careers. Each year invited dancers travel to Nelson to perform at the highest levels of excellence whilst providing their talents to raise funds for a very worthy Nelson charitable cause, The Nelson Region Hospice Trust.
