The Main Objectives of GBPA are: 1. Publicise Golden Bay both nationally and internationally to attract visitors and business interests. 2.To assist, promote and encourage sustainable industrial and tourist development. 3.To assist in the coordination of all activities in the district considered likely to achieve the forgoing objects. 4.To cooperate with local groups in ensuring that visitors are welcomed, entertained or given information while visiting the district. In June 2008 The Golden Bay Promotion Association was thrilled to be the recipients of two awards: Heritage and Environment Category Winner Supreme Winner – Tasman District These awards recognized the efforts of the wonderful volunteers who contributed to the success of the hanging flower basket project and the association’s development of the Golden Bay website. ' ' Annual membership - $145 Additional associated business - $100 Yellow Map Listing (members only) - $45 Website Listing (members only) - Free Each membership entitles you to be able to purchase a listing on the Yellow Map, and to have a free website listing.
