U3A Motueka is committed to providing learning opportunities "by seniors for seniors with seniors". These opportunities emphasise U3A Motueka's beliefs in the benefits of life-long learning and that intellectual capacity can be maintained well into the third age the importance of a sociable and flexible learning environment and active participation in the learning process. During the course of a year a variety of courses are made available - subject to the interest shown and the availability of leaders. Courses are normally held in leaders' homes. Some courses running at the present are: Art Appreciation, Poetry appreciation, Civilisations, local geology, music appreciation, with more on the way. Just concluded: History of Britain.
