Our Organisation’s Purpose:

“Fun in a Box” games that can be played on a table.

We are a group of people interested in jigsaw puzzles and playing board games, card games, and table-top role-playing in Golden Bay, New Zealand.

During the month we have up to 3 open meet up events anyone in the community can attend. All ages welcome. People bring along their favourite games and share them with others. The Co-Organizers/Volunteers provide a library of board games and card games at these events for anyone to try out. There are a number of attendees who know various games and they are happy to teach others how to play.

Board gaming and card gaming events:
First Saturday of every month from 12.30pm to 5pm – Onekaka Hall, 1202 Takaka-Collingwood Highway, Onekaka 7182.
Third Monday of every month from 5.30pm to 10pm – Golden Bay Community Hall, 88 Commercial Street, Takaka Town District 7110.

Board gaming, card gaming and Dungeons and Dragons Roleplaying Game events:
Fourth weekend of most months from 12.30pm to 5pm – Golden Bay Community Hall, 88 Commercial Street, Takaka Town District 7110 (check our Facebook group for which day each month this runs as it can change based on venue availability)

All meet up events ask for a koha towards venue hire and advertising costs.

We also run the Takaka Free Jigsaw Puzzle Library. This is a free service where a collection of jigsaw puzzles are located at the Takaka Anglican Church Side Lounge at 42 Commercial Street, Tākaka Town District 7110. This is available for anyone to access Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm.

The Jigsaw Puzzle Library is free to use.

There are no membership fees for any of these activities. We do accept koha towards venue hire and advertising costs. We also accept donations of games and jigsaw puzzles for the various libraries.
