Here at Driving Miss Daisy, our focus is on providing a caring and reliable companion driving service for people of all ages (our youngest client is 2 and oldest 100 +!!). We specialise in assisting the vulnerable people in our community – the elderly and those with physical or mental health disabilities. We enjoy getting to know our existing clients, and meeting new ones – not just giving rides, but building relationships. To us, it’s not just about the cars but the care we provide, and it’s not just providing transport but gaining trust from people who haven’t lost the need to get out and about, but who have lost the means to do so.
Driving Miss Daisy provides a quality service where we meet you at your door and provide whatever assistance you need to get you on board and on your way to your destination; an appointment (to the receptionist, not just the front door!), airport, shopping, or even leisure outings like the Zoo or out for a coffee at the local cafe. We provide any assistance you need during appointments, such as staying with you or just dropping you off. We check with the receptionist how long your appointment will be and are there wafting for you once complete, so you get to avoid waiting for us! We then return you home safely to your home.
Payment is by cash, eftpos or invoice, with internet banking available. We also accept the Total Mobility Scheme card which allows you to receive the council discount on all transportation fares!
We hold the national contract for ACC which allows you to use our service during recovery on injury – ACC Vendor number: VBE964
We would love to hear from you if we can help in any way!
Wheelchair accessible vehicle available upon request 🙂
