The Motueka 50plus Walking Group is a group of people aged 50 and over who enjoy exploring the beautiful and varied region we live in, from Nelson Lakes to Farewell Spit.

Our walks are every Thursday and cater for different levels of fitness from easy to hard.

We meet at Motueka Recreation Centre car park in Old Wharf Road where car-pooling is arranged.  Starting times vary for different walks and we return some time in the afternoon.  Occasionally, bus trips are organised for walks further afield.

Some purely social occasions are held.

Longer trips lasting several days explore more distant regions like the West Coast, Marlborough and Canterbury.

Meetings are held quarterly at the Motueka RSA, starting at 9.30am with a “cuppa” and followed by our business meeting and an interesting guest speaker.
