Nelson Bays Primary Health’s Immunisation Facilitation Service provides professional immunisation leadership in a collaborative partnership between Te Whatu Ora Public Health services, primary and community health organisations, including general practice, community pharmacy and occupational health providers.

Timely immunisation is the most effective way to actively protect your child from vaccine preventable diseases e.g. measles, pertussis (whooping cough), polio, hepatitis B, mumps, diptheria, pneumococcal disease, haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) human papillomavirus (HPV), rubella, varicella (chicken pox), COVID-19 and influenza.

Childhood Immunisations are provided free to all children in Aotearoa New Zealand up to the age of 18 years old. Parents can protect their children by taking them for their free immunisations as per the New Zealand immunisation schedule.
