Correct dressage training teaches a horse and rider to move in balance and harmony, leading to a willing partnership where both the horse and rider enjoy the work.  Nelson Dressage aims to encourage and promote the partnership between a rider and their horse by providing training and competition days at which riders of all ages can learn and test their skills.

We provide an open line of communication via our area delegate to the national dressage organisation Dressage New Zealand, which is part of Equestrian Sports New Zealand.

Nelson Dressage runs a number of training dressage days during the year, sponsored by Saddlery Warehouse.  These days are an excellent time to have a go at dressage, enjoy a fun competition or practice a test.  Always a fun day, these often involve a morning dressage clinic, fancy dress, non-graded dressage, test of choice classes and fun musical freestyles.
