Gliding is one of the most exciting and accessible forms of recreational aviation.  It is also one of the most unsung adventure sports in the world.  By using the energy of rising air available in the atmosphere, gliders are capable of soaring aloft for several hours and flying hundreds or even thousands of kilometres – all without an engine!
