Nelson Radio Sailing Club Inc. (Nelson Radio Sailing is a small club of approximately 44 enthusiastic members situated in Nelson.

Social sailing every Wednesday, Saturday (for DF65s) and Sunday afternoon depending on the weather.

The Club is a member of the NZ Radio Yacht Association (NZRYA) which in turn is a member of the International Radio Sailing Association. (IRSA)

We have regular social sailing during the week plus competition racing, both scratch and handicap on the weekends.

At present all our members sail IOM and DF65 class yachts, however we welcome other classes to join us.  Our IOM’s are a combination of professionally built to home built fibreglass and wood versions.

Our freshwater venues are the pond at Best Island and the Nile Road Pond at Thawley’s Orchards at Mahana.  Best Island and Nile Road are on private property and are not public areas.

We also sail at one of the two courses laid out at Monaco when the tides are suitable.
