Soroptimist International of Waimea is a non-profit women’s organisation committed to serving the local and international community.

SI Waimea has been very active in serving the communities of Tasman and Nelson since 1974.  Members work together to raise funds to support education projects for women and girls and other causes which further the aims of the organisation.  The Club also supports international projects such as Fiji Shelters for women suffering domestic violence, women and water projects worldwide.  National Project Support for Ovarian Cancer Charities.

Locally, the club funds a substantial second chance Education Grant aimed at women over 25 embarking on a career.
