The Totaradale Golf Club is situated 25km south of Nelson on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Wakefield, approximately 1km along Pigeon Valley Road. This tranquil 9-hole golf course is nestled amongst both native and exotic trees and boasts an abundance of New Zealand bird-life.
This unassuming golf club extends a warm welcome to members and visitors alike and strives to cater for every golfer irrespective of their playing age or ability. The challenging Par-72 course has well maintained greens and fairways and is proud of its reputation of being one of the best 9-hole courses in Nelson and possibly the South Island.
Totaradale is a fun and challenging 5599m course for all golfers. The course as the name suggests meanders around some gentle hills and down dale among beautiful trees scattered throughout. There are three shallow bunkers, a couple of creeks and a small pond to negotiate along the way to add interest to your round. As you strive to improve your score on the second time around, holes 10-18 have different Tee placements offering a new perspective to the hole. Good luck and don’t forget to enjoy the views from No. 3 Teeing ground.
CLUBHOUSE FACILITIES: The clubhouse staff Megan and Sue will be your hosts for any of your golf needs during clubhouse hours from 9am onward. There is a small golf retail area with golf balls, tees, snacks and drinks available.
The Bar is open most afternoons to quench your thirst during or after your round of golf and offer local craft beers from the Hop Farm Brewery and popular low-alcohol alternatives. Relax in the clubhouse or out on the deck looking back towards the No. 9 green and fairway. Hot and Cold cabinet food is also on offer on all competition days which are currently Tuesdays, Wednesday Twilight, Saturdays and Friday mornings.
